Paris, part 2: Notre Dame
02.26.2010 this next post of my paris photos centers around one of the more famous and highly trafficked tourist spots in all of paris... Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris. i think i mentioned this in the last post of paris photos, but i am really not a lover of architectural photography. (me taking it, that is) however, i enjoyed these photos of the amazing statues... probably because my memory of taking these photos has more to do with listening to my history buff of a husband talk about the history of the statues than anything else. the clouds were also pretty spectacular.
either way, i hope you enjoy my take on this famously photographed west facade.




this last image is a favorite moment from our entire trip. we left notre dame and were walking along the seine as the sun set. i looked back and saw the west facade glowing pink with the reflection of the setting sun. we actually walked (ran) back towards it for me to get this shot...
