[collaboration with David Birge] The international Temporary Outdoor Gallery Space Competition "generates proposals for a temporary outdoor structure that will function simultaneously as an exhibition space and an architectural exhibition." The only parameter for the design was a size requirement of either 10'x10'x12' or 10'x20'x12'. Our proposal centered around an idea of a cabinet of curiosities, with infinitely flexible arrangements of modules that house art in every form, that is viewed through different types of apertures from the outside. By placing the viewer on the outside of the art, the interaction with the architecture became as important as the art itself.
